The Gangway Gallery is thrilled to feature the captivating works of MAST, a distinguished graffiti artist and mural painter from Brooklyn, New York. MAST's artistic journey began in the vibrant graffiti scene of NYC in the early 1990s, where he quickly made a name for himself with his unique style that blends aggressive letterforms with stylized characters. His work is characterized by a meticulous attention to detail and a strong foundation in traditional graffiti writing, which he continually evolves through his illustrative visual language.
MAST's impressive portfolio includes large-scale murals and commercial pieces that showcase his expertise in typography, composition, and color. His notable projects include collaborations on international stages, such as the ONO’U International Graffiti Festival in Tahiti, where he received first-place honors, and contributions to the Museum of Graffiti in Wynwood, Florida. Additionally, MAST has been actively involved in community art projects, bringing life and identity to public spaces, such as his recent work on the refurbishment of tennis courts in New York in collaboration with tennis star Naomi Osaka.
